I am just wondering how you guys handle your vinyl tops? Do you treat them, if so with what? I am not sure I like it super glossy but I dont think I like it completely flat either. Personal preference may be the rule here but, Is there a proper way that it should be?

I use STP. They make one for the tops and it has a UV protectant and leaves a more natural finish with a slight shine to it, but if you apply more coats it will become a high gloss. I usually just put on 2 light coats and it looks good. Maguires makes a Natural finish for dashes as well and that would work well and neither leaves a grease film.

I'd say sunlight is what damages them, so a UV protectant makes sense. I never had a problem using either Armorall or Pledge before that, but that was an occasional thing on cars that were garaged when not being used.
Never cared for real shiny vinyl or rubber.

I use this stuff on my top. It is great. It isnt shiny like armour all but it leaves a nice satin finish. I use it on tires too. It's great stuff.

Use Formula 303. Protects and doesn't leave a shine.
