Disc Brake conversion aftermath..what to keep? - 06/11/13 05:41 AM

Hey guys I'm just about done with my disc brake conversion on my 65 belvedere. I am wondering if I really need to keep any of the old brake stuff, like the drum brakes and spindle assemblies (junk anyways someone welded the studs to the hubs) single pot master cylinder, old lines, etc. I'd rather not keep anything if I don't have too...I figure with the popularity of the disc brakes these days why bother keeping it. Should I just take it all to the scrap metal bin?

spindles maybe.
I guess it depends on how much space you have.
I think I did my conversion 5 years ago. seen like 2 or 3 people interested in the stock spindles over that whole time.
more people interested in the hubs, but not much more.

But none were local, and really not worth what it would cost to ship.
single pot master, never heard anyone looking for one of those.

but if you are going to throw them out anyway, might list them as free for shipping costs for a couple weeks in the swap meet.

^^^ This , if you don't see you ever really needing the stuff and don't have the room or the desire to hang on to them then offer them up. Being in cali i'm sure a bunch of the stuff is nicer than stuff that lived it's entire life in the rust belt.
