The key to making a MAACO paint job come out well is to do the prep work yourself. They dont put much sanding effort before they paint. More of a scuff job with scotchbrite is all..

did mine myself in the back yard in march here in FL turn out good for my first one.
used a gallon of 2k primer,1 gallon base,1 gallon clear,all black is done in 1 gallon goss black rustolium.
less than 500$ in supplys doing the labor my self in the yard.
i would love a S&S truck, I did me a 88 D-100 superbee truck, because it is about a close as I will get to owning a real 68 superbee.
one thing for sure i did learn real fast... the word "JUST" in the phrase 'just paint it'. is a gollywopper of a word when it come down to painting it right.
I've done cars 10 years ago with it that look just as good today. I was told the nason clear is the old dupont before they switched to the new stuff... not sure if it's true, but I pay 110 a gallon with activator and have no problem using it on almost anything. I do use the good(expensive) line on high dollar restos though.

I have also used Nason from oriellys ALOT. Never on a car, but plenty on motorcycles, bicycles, and about to paint another engine with the stuff. Good stuff.
