Spreadbore Intake/Square bore carb

Spreadbore Intake/Square bore carb - 04/04/13 11:28 PM

I am using my new 3310 Holley on top of my 2176 Performer intake. I am not running the steel adapter plate. Is it a must to run it, or is the manifold a dual pattern/accepts both types of carbs?

It should fit fine ... but use a good gasket.

Using the supplied Holley gasket from the carb box.

Get the thin plate that ede sells for using squarebore carbs on Spreadbore intakes

http://www.summitracing.com/parts/edl-2732

Orielly's had them last time I was in there.

Ede ships that intake with the plate for a reason...

best way to seal a squarebore holley to the eddy 2176 spredbore intake.

it does have both bolt patterns on the carb flange and the flat plate seals to the holley base gasket while a spredbore open gasket seals the plate to the intake flange.

I just swaped to spedbore carbs(Q-jet) on the squarebore RPM intake on the 440 truck and the LD4B intake on the 318 truck.

used the 3/4" open carb adaptor going this way.
