idle mixture screws

why would only one idle mixture screw work? The one on the passenger side does nothing if turned all the way in it doesnt respond to anything. The drivers side will kill motor if turned all the way in and responds to fine adjustments

like it should. Brand new 750 holly 4160.

I'd open it up & go thru it checking metering block passages for blockages/gasket hole not punched etc.

Check to be sure the cork "0" ring has not deteriated in the idle screw bore, if thats not it then prob a swollen metering block gasket.
