470 stroker carb selection - 02/25/13 04:40 AM
Okay folks, I'm trying to select a carb for my 470 in my '71 Charger. Here are the specs on the engine:
470 ci
10.0:1 compression ratio
440 source CNC ported aluminum heads
Hughes camshaft: .598/.606 lift, 242/246 duration at .050, 108* lsa (1.6 rockers included)
6500 redline
Headers, 2 1/2 duals
should weigh about 3600
auto tranny, 3.91 gears
mostly street use with a few trips to the track per season.
I'm looking for a vacuum secondary, electric choke.
Suggestions have been the following:
850 holley dual feed 4150 (80531)
870 holley street avenger (80870)
770 proform street series (67258)
What are y'all's thoughts on this?
Thanks in advance!
