turn signal switch return - 02/11/13 03:15 PM

I have never had a column that the signal arm would return. Below is a picture. What am I missing and where can I find it? The picture is too big so I can't load it

You need to replace the turn signal switch itself. There are two plastic extensions that break off easily and they are what click the signal into the return position.

There's a good chance you don't need to replace an expensive turn signal switch - just repair it. Cancel cam needs to be replaced. You can pick up a switch repair kit at Napa. Don't know what you're woking on but an Echlin EL6126 is one example for Chryslers.

The 'whiter' colored plastic in the pic below is what's needed.

If you go with the cancel cam repair, which is easiest and cheapest, pay close attention to the whisker trimming instructions.
