Have these springs p/n 2269993 anyone know if they are the heavy duty springs used on max wedge cars? Thanks.

According to an old DC chassis book the 62-63 Max Wedge cars had pn 2403524 springs on both sides with a spring rate of 118lb/in

Thanks for the info so far guys. I've tried cross referencing my part number and come up with nothing. These springs are six leaf and definitely heavy duty.

I'm thinking that part number may be for that leaf, not the spring assembly.

I dug out my ' 62 parts book. The number you have doesn't show up as a spring assembly or a main leaf. But my '62 book doesn't show any max wedge stuff. That may be because it's an early book, I don't know. Maybe someone else will be more help.

FWIW I have the super-stock springs in my 63. Right P3690456, left P3690457. That's what's printed on the bottom of them anyway.
