Hemi Muffler Walker 18230 opinions ? - 12/20/12 05:49 AM

I am looking at Hemi muffler replacement and the Walker FX 18230 is $30 vs $150 for a Hemi replacement. Anyone have any opinion or experience with the cheaper Walker replacement ? Thanks for your help

When Walker came out with their "Powerflo" series of mufflers I bought one of the first ones. This was a low restriction design with aluminized steel.

After about two years internal welding came loose and a rattle developed.

This became one more reason why i like stainless steel mufflers.

Are you after the correct look? That's a big reason why the replacement is so much more expensive.

I had their old Hemi mufflers on my 65.They were on for probally 10 years.Sounded good for a stock type muffler.I pulled them when I went 3 inch and Summits Stainless mufflers. They were still in great shape.Rocky

I like the Dynomax (Walker HP line) Hemi Super Turbos which, I believe, look and sound like originals, but won't fool any purists.
