Another 360 horsepower estimate.

Another 360 horsepower estimate. - 11/28/12 01:29 AM

This is what I have. 1973 360, .030 over, true 9.25-1 compression with flat top pistons, 1.88 intake and 1.60 exhaust valves, .443-.467 lift, 214-224 duration @ .050, Edelbrock RPM intake, 1 5/8 headers. I built another engine just like it, only with 8.8-1 compression and a 69 340 intake for my brother's 68 Dart and it runs a whole lot stronger than what I expected. Just trying to get some idea of what I have here. I don't have access to a dyno and I'm curious if anyone else has built something similar and what their horsepower and torque figures were.
I know it will be fun in my Valiant.

I'll base my guess off of what my engine does.

my 360 has Magnum heads, 9.5-ish compression, 222°/228° @ .050, .544 lift 107LSA installed at 102.

I put 285hp, 325 tq to the wheels.

your smaller size valves and presumably LA style heads will hurt head flow, and your cam is smaller.

if my 285hp at the wheels is close to 350 hp crank (20-ish% drive train losses), then I'd guess yours will be 320 at the crank.
