1971 Challenger Fitting Exhaust Manifold over Studs - 11/25/12 06:03 PM

I am having a heck of a time trying to figure out how the driver's side exhaust manifold fits between the studs and steering shaft to be place on the head.

It came off easily enough... the engine builder used bolts, but now I want to do it correctly, but it appears there's no way to get it in place with the studs already RTV'd and set in.

HELP!!!!!

Might have to pull the drivers side motor bolt and jack the engine up a bit so it clears. Then drop it down once you have it on.

Thats what I had to do, Steering box itself was in the way.

Got it!... Removed the last two (closest to firewall) studs, last two plugs as well. I was then able to swing it into position and then a few well chose words later.... convince it it was supposed to fit..... it did. Re-gooped the studs and i'm good. THANKS!!!
