Take a look at this old Ansen bellhousing, it fits a BB engine. It's the transmission bolt pattern that is odd.

Found a picture of another, this one has correct style bolt pattern for an A833. What is the other? Both are cast with 5030 ANSEN NHRA on them.

Posted this over on the HAMB, and those guys were all over this in no time. Looks like a Ford Top Loader. I Photoshopped a pic they posted and sized it to my pic, and if the angle was the same I'm sure the bolt holes would be spot on.

The only thing that comes to mind is the early Borg Warner or that French transmission Pountumasson (sp)
