Need suggestions for a 100+ amp 3 wire alternator - 11/02/12 03:46 PM

The only 3 wire 100 amp alternator I can find is made by Tuff Stuff. Anyone know of any other company that makes a decent 3 wire 100 amp? I don't want to do another 1 wire alt.

I have a 136 amp ext. reg. unit from a late 90's dodge ram on my 340 Duster.....and a 160 amp unit in store for a 468 small block in the works....bought both from ebay.....brand new in mopar boxes..nos.....they are real mopar/denso units.. ..retail for over 300 got each for around 75....i dont know if i would use cheapo china repops....i have used delco pulleys on them already and actually have also used go-cart spindle spacers behind to get pulley alignment right

My Powermaster is a three wire 60a idle and 99a max unit. Is that close enough? If so, I will give you the Powermaster sales rep's email address.

Tell Brady that you are looking for the best amp 3 wire Chrysler 75a that he can make. PM calls it a 75a unit but it is just shy of a 100a 3 wire Chrysler square back that will be a direct bolt in unit!!

Thanks. I see one NOS Mopar 136 amp on ebay right now. It's for a 2001-2002 2.5L Dakota. Does the specified engine and year matter as far as hole locations on the case and wiring are concerned? Also, what brackets did you use to make it work? This will be going on an LA smallblock with power steering.

you also need to be sure it is externally regulated......I believe that one is.....some are internal....I needed to also find a plug for the one I have as it is not studded....some are.....it is a little bit of work but I like the look of the Denso and think it is cool that it is what is used on newer Chryslers....
