Cast Iron Dual 4 BBL intake 2264877 - 10/30/12 05:12 PM

I found this dual 4 bbl cast iron intake, and looking for some answers. The casting number is 2264877 , which from what I can find, is a 1962 used on B and C bodies with a 413 engine. There is a casting date of 11-?- 67. No pentastar, but it looks like a W inside of a circle. Did Weiand make intakes with Mopar casting numbers?

The last Chrysler in line 413 2x4 was on the 62 300H,the manifold and all the necessary components were avaliable from Direct Connection into the early 70's,I don't think any aftermarket company would/did make a cast iron intake.

Does it look like this? This is the 383 version, the RB is quite similar.

When did the dual plane design start being utilized? The factory 2x4 intakes- just like the Offenhauser dual quad manifolds are a big open single plane. Look inside and compare to the Edelbrock CH28. (The old open plenum dual quad manifolds make good subjects for blower manifold conversion)

my old, feeble mind wants to say the "w" cast mark stands for the WINTERS[co.] foundry.

The 60/61 were long ram engines same as the 63/64 300J and K.

Is that a threaded hole on the right front corner? If so it is probably a marine intake.

At least 10 cents a pound.

No tapped hole in the front, only a 3/8" NPT in the back for the vacuum line.

Thanks to all of you that tried to answer my question. Moparts is a great site, with a lot of members that are willing to help someone out. Not sure about the 10 cents a pound answer.

It's been modified. Originally, they had four holes per carb.

Randy - There's an older guy in teh north room of the Indy swap meet at 38th St (you may know who I mean, he looks like Santa Claus) that has been carrying it for at least 4 years. He wants $450 for it. I got teh B I posted earlier for $125 and paid a little more for an RB one I have.

So, somewhere between $.10 and $450. Not much demand for them except from resto guys.

Around $200/$250 is a fair price,at $400 he'll have it forever.

I've had a 383 cast iron 2x4 for 30 years. I paid $3.00 for it. I've used it on several different street motors through the years, it's a nice street manifold. Dave
