My Coronet have got a higher front... - 09/26/12 09:06 PM

I have changed my ride hight in front. I adjust stud in the lower control arm. I like the stance, the car is higher in the front now.

Do I need to adjust any on the torsion bars. It seems like the car have get very stiff in the front after the adjusting the stud.

By turning the "stud in the lower control arm", you were adjusting the torsion bar. Doing so raised the car by adding more twist to the torsion bar, which is why it now rides stiffer. The two are completely related to each other.

Be aware that any significant change in height will also affect the alignment. Once you are happy about the height, you might want to have it aligned.

Might He--, you must absolutely have the frontend camber and toe in corrected if you have raised or lowered the front ride hieght more than 1/16 to 1/8 inch since the last alignment , maybe the caster also
