hot coolant exits the block in the top 2 holes on each side so on the pass side on top of the pump where the coolant turns from the top block hole inward to the stat housing is the pressure nipple.

The smaller 1/2" hose is the rearmost port on the water pump housing.

If you look at the water pump housing you can figure it out. There is a pressure side of the housing and a return side. The pressure side feeds the heater (and the radiator) while the return side pulls water in from the radiator as well as the return from the heater.
