Upper Radiator Hose - '69 GTX - 07/14/12 12:07 AM
A little background first. Non-matching '69 440 engine cooled by a non-matching 22" 2276838 radiator in my '69 GTX convertible. I found a correct 2949053 radiator and, after installing it, it was pretty clear the upper hose was not going to fit - radiator inlet was too far to the left (driver's side). Ordered a replacement from NAPA and it's not right. Wondering if they ordered a hose for a 26" radiator? Anyone know what upper hose I need to use?

Sometimes the replacement hoses offered need to be cut at specific points, which are labeled on the hose. Look at the hose you have- do you see any line marks, with an "A" or "B" adjcent to it? I have seen such instaces like this with replacement hoses offered by Gates (not sure who supplies NAPA).

I appreciate the feedback but none of the hoses I've looked at are even the right shape or bent the right direction. I'm starting to wonder if my parts and pieces are really what they say they are. Does anyone have a '69 B-body with a 2949 053 22" radiator and shroud that they can post a picture or two of?
