fuel tank filler seal torn

When I dropped the tank on my 95 Dakota last weekend to change the fuel pump, I noticed the seal around the filler neck was cracked and torn. Could this cause the truck to run lean?

Nope. Air fuel ratio doesn't happen in the gastank as long as the pump is working.

Thanks. That'll go on the list of things to do, but I won't worry that it has to be done yesterday.
