Air Cleaner for TQ

Air Cleaner for TQ - 04/22/12 01:25 AM

I'm looking for an air cleaner for my TQ. I'll be putting it on top of a Strip Dom intake. Looking for something that will fit under the hood of a 67 Belv. Don't know if anyone makes a drop base for a TQ. And I don't think the mini cleaner I have will pull enough air. Thanks.

I used a regular aftermarket 4bbl air cleaner on mine but had to it a bit to get it to clear the tops of the float bowls.

Was that with a drop base? What size filter?

Here is mine on a Thermoquad!
Not a drop base,2x14 with air filter top!

Here's mine. 850 TQ on Holley street Dominator. Stock unsilenced air cleaner. in my 68 GTX ::::ERROR::::: Old pic with Eddy performer intake. Now has the Dominator with same air cleaner. I'll get a new pic.

I take some new pics. Thought i had some with the dominator intake. Same carb and air cleaner. Doesn't hit my hood. Did use a 1 inch shorter filter because it did hit the hood insulation pad. Stock size filter before i installed the insulation pad with no problems

What's the filter size?

I picked everything up at a swap meet!
And it looks like a K&N but it is just a cheapo setup!

13X2 1/2 i beleive in it now. Was 13X3 but as mentioned it hit my hood insulation pad on my GTX. On my Super Bee same 440 set up but 750 Quick Fuel carb. Same Holley Street dominator intake. Same stock air cleaner with 3 inch tall filter
