Journey RT need opinion from dealer tech

Today the drivers door controls screwed up,the windows wont roll down in the front on the drivers door buttons but the rear windows go down with drivers button,power mirror switch not working either check fuse for that stuff it was ok....any ideas on if its the whole switch is bad or what else could cause it.

I would bet on the wiring harness between the door and the body is broken. There was a recall for this on some models. K07 I believe was the number. Could also be the drivers door module if the car is equipped with express windows. The rear windows will still operate if the module is bad.

Thanks for the help what is the module?Is it part of the switch?I am not up on newer vechicles thanks alot for the input

What are express windows?

The module is located in the door and is used to cut down on the amount of wiring need in the door to perform all of the functions associated with the door, like the power windows and mirrors, etc... It is separate from the switch and the door panel must be removed for access. Express windows are the one-touch down and/or up with the switch. switch should say AUTO if equipped.

Searched the net a bit wow theres like 6 recalls we bought the car last september havnt gotten a single recall letter how do you find out if a previous owner had these recalls peformed?

The breakage in door you refered to

extra hot wire on aux 110v source could catch fire.

Sounds like the door prob could even cause the air bag not to deploy.
