DANA 60

Picked up a Dana 60 last weekend, it is out of a mopar car and would like to know what it may have come out of, the width is 56 3/4 inches wide so I'm sure it was in an e-body, the ends are welded on about 3 inches from the flange so it looks like it was made wider.
any way to tell from the numbers cast into the center section when it was made?
Did they stamp Vin numbers on them?
