Super Bee vin ?

Super Bee vin ? - 01/29/12 03:44 PM

I'm looking at a 68 super bee but nothing on the vin no indicates it's a bee, or a Coronet, other than the motor being an hp.
I would appreciate any pointers, as i'd rather not pay super bee price for a Coronet.

I believe the VIN would start off with WM21 or WM23

It is WM21 but that translates to Coronet, medium package, 2 door coupe.

WM is a Super Bee. What are you looking at, a Year One catalog?

Sorry i didn't realise, i looked on the superbee registry and the WM21, just said Coronet, i wasn't aware of the roof style being unique to bees.
It's a while since i had a street car.

The roof code 21 is not unique to the Bee, the M in WM21 is unique to the Bee.
RM would be the RoadRunner.
WH is the Coronet 440, WP is the Coronet 500, WS is the Coronet R/T.

This is correct, ALL 1968 'Bees were post cars. It was not until '69 that they offered it in a Hardtop.
