1978 New Yorker Concealed Wiper Issue. - 12/29/11 12:07 AM
Hey guys. Recently I bought 2 NEW reproduction wiper motor bushings. Not the little ones, but the big one that connects the wiper-linkage to the wiper link directly on the back of the wiper motor.
My problem has something to do with the concealed park position I'm pretty sure. What happens is... when turned on they wipe across the windshield and rest in the correct resting position when on, but when I turn them off, the driver wiper wipes too far and falls off the windshield and catches on the A pillar. Sometimes it wont but it will park in the middle of the windshield. Ive tried adjusting the arms with no luck. Any ideas???
The parts im using are out of a 79 cordoba with delay wipers, my car has delay wipers. I had it working PERFECT before my bushing fell apart, ever since then I cant seem to get it quite right.
Any help would be great! Thanks!
