I have been wanting to change to E85 since last year and after doing some research bought a carb from Eric Niefert. After struggling to get the car to idle I decided to change distributors with a known curve and got it to work, so I thought. Went to Columbus to run the Mo-Power Events and 1st pass car had a serious bog. Decided to pull the distributor and lock it out and turned out the idle mixture screws 4 turns. Tested on the return road and went to make my 2nd time run. Must have worked as I won the gamblers on Friday, and lost in the semi's on both Saturday and Sunday. Pozest also runered up Saturday in the 10.0 class. Best part is the car ran down the track 30 time and only used 20 gallons of fuel. I can say that $3.29/gal beats 7.49/gal. Still have some more tuning to do, but am very happy with the results.

That is great results the first time out with E85.
You got to love it.

Congrats on the quick tune and the fine racing.

That is really cool. I wish E85 was readily available around here but it's not.

Congrats! I'm a recent convert as well. Still have not been out this year, but hope my results are as good as yours!

Ditto that................the closest station is miles away and I drive WAY too much and would have to buy a drum to make it worth it.

Don and Pozest put 30 runs on the "Ugly Aries" in 3 days:

7 were time runs
4 were eliminations losses

19 were eliminations WINS

I agree that is success!

Eric shared that with me during a phone conversation. I think he was still happy since his product was on the winning car.

Wish I could of spent more time talking, but I am sure you were enjoying Cgall's culinary skills with the Skyline dip. Also thanks for selling me some of your E85.

What is California doing? E-85 even reduces air pollution!

But I agree the infrastructure/availability of E-85 ethanol is not as good as it should be in this country. Home grown and distilled by US workers!

I am using the same braided line that I used for gas. Fuel pump is a BG 280 with a BG 4 port regulator.
