Since the question is still open I'll suggest you consider buying a brand new Edelbrock Performer, I was under the impression since its debut that they're the same 'body' as the Carter AVS that you may have on there as original. They kick ass right out of the box and rebuild parts/kits are available at speed shops, Summit, etc. You may also want to consider a JC Whitney rebuilt carb for $200.

As far as a rebuild, Holley rebuilds the AVS carbs for $375, I believe Harms is the same price and I'd prefer to deal with a trusted person like Scott who has a reputation as an A++++ professional and his individual attention, of course there are more than a few carb rebuilders in the U.S.A. you can have do it - want to keep your i.d. tag though...

Edit: Your's is an R/T so it most likely had a Holley as original, the Edelbrock Performer would work fine but I'd consider more using a new/rebuilt Holley, wait for others here to also comment/advise and enjoy your drop top!! We're waiting for bigger/better pics!!

The carb would be a Holley 4368 or a 4217(with N95) or a 4369(with A/C). The original one is always the best one to use in my books. Scott may have some of these in stock if yours is missing. www.harmsauto.com

if you go with the aftermarket carbs, be sure to get the correct chrysler adapter for the carb. it's not included with the carb, but it's needed to hook it up.
