Taking to the track for the first time this Friday. Have no idea what to expect, but is WAY more than my dad or I have ever experienced from a little street driving, and we still haven't dipped into the secondaries. It ran low 13s/very high 12s with the low compression 340 before. Probably going to take it easy and shift at 5000-5500 this weekend since it's a new motor. 69 Cuda. 3500 lbs with driver. 418 stroker 10.3:1 comp Fully CNC'd Eddy Heads from Hughes. Ported Airgap intake. 248/252 .600/.610 solid cam Holley 750 modded to flow 910 CFM MSD E-Curve dist with 6-AL TTI torque stepped headers w/ Ultra Flo mufflers 3:91 727 Tight 10" converter. M/T drag radials 275/50/15. Stock suspension. Very little tuning to dial it in as we just fired it Sunday for the first time. Don't strain your brain over it, just looking for ballpark. I'll update after this weekend. Mid/low 12s? High 11s? Thanks to all who have helped us get this far.

I ran 10.95 at 121 with a 1.56 60ft a couple weeks ago.
I have a little less compression and more carb but pretty close combo
My chassis also seems to be working well
My conveter is more of a nitrous conveter also
I would figure you should be low 11/s maybe high 10's

Car is pretty heavy. If that weight is accurate and the converter is on 11.40 - 11.50. Tune it up and 11.20 - 11.30 is within range. I think you'd be hard pressed to get 10's out of the combo the way it sits. You don't have much for a converter, gear or traction so you'll be limited. You also didn't say if this will be full exhaust and what size or open headers. In fact if it's through a full exhaust 11.70 is probably going to be the best you can expect.

I am running TTI headers and full 3" exhaust with an H-pipe Ultra Flo mufflers. Do you think that free flowing exhaust would slow me down by 4 tenths?

11.70-ish, but why is it so heavy?? Not a lot of gear, either but your torque should make up for that. Weight transfer is key with a big torque motor in order for it to ET. Combo sounds like it should make about 500-520, should push you to right at high 1-teens or so. I have a loose 10" T/A that I might trade ya, I think it would work better for your heavier lower compression combo....mine on the other hand (12:1, 550+ horse/2900 pounds/85" WB/4.56) might be a bit tamer off the line with a tighter vert For 1/8th mile ET bracket racing I figure I might just launch in second and not even have to shift for the whole 660', It wouldn't be as quick.....but it'd sure be quick enough in a first leave situation and be consistent as all get-out laugh:

Do you think running open exhaust would make much of a difference? @Wise: curious to see how this converter works first. Car sees 95% street duty, so I hate to go too loose with it. But I might consider that down the road. Hughes builds this exact motor fairly often, and with the port work they said 550+ HP and 500+ ft lbs.

I don't get it.....I guess
That car should run mid 10's with ease. Had a W2 headed 378 with a mild port job that ran 10.68 20 years ago at 3400 lbs. You should have the torque to handle the gear and converter sense it is a 4.00" stroke. I ran a 4.10 gear with a 4400 TA 8" converter.
