I made a video of my booth while painting my 66 coronet.

Great Job. It will be a shame to take it apart when you get done with it.

NICE!
Maybe put some springs & hooks on the inside of door to keep tension against the weather stripping.
BTW, how'd the paint job come out?

looks real good,I THINK YOU will get a great paint job with it,
just take your time when you spray it.make sure it is not super hot or humid,I KNOW IT GETS HOT IN MO. DO IT EARLY IN THE MORNING when the dew is out. your paint will flow better.hope this helps

Awesome. That is maybe the best home made spray booth I have seen. I thought about building a very similar one to yours when my project gets that far. I dont think the bench is a bad idea in the booth. Just make sure it is really really clean. The alternative would have you going in and out of the booth many times to mix paint and that is where the dirt and junk come from. My only improvement if there was room would be to add a vestabule area around the door. So when you open it you are not opening it straight into the outside area, but instead into another sealed small room and then from there another door to the outside. THis will keep the airflow into and out of the booth a little less dramatic. Anything that could help. But I think that booth is fantastic. Thanks for taking the time to share. I wish more people would do the same. best luck on your paint job. Let us see how it turns out.

I had some chains on the door to close it but I am pulling so much negative air that the door seals to the foam gasket now. The plywood was warped and wouldn't seal at first but the negative air has actually pulled the warp out of the door and its TIGHT now.
If you go to youtube, they show all of my videos so far. I have only put on one base coat and I had gun problems. It's a trainwreck worth watching. The problems is fixed and I will be spraying the rest of the base coat today.

You did a GREAT job on that! If you've already painted your car, I hope it turned out well for you. I liked the part in the video..." 2 x 4 x ? SH*!#&^T
