Looks real close... you MIGHT need a touch more on the RR but that will be found out on the launch... have someone video your launches

Your weights look typical for a BB A body car, maybe a little better than most on the right rear weight I have been told by several factory back Mopar SS racers years ago that you need 30 lbs more on the right rear than the left rear for best perforamnce on a drag car Your car going crooked is not from the weight distribution in my opinion Look at the tire circumferences on the rear tires, shoot for 1/4 inch or less in circumference differences If they are close then look at the rear end alignment to the chassis and or bent rear shocks or binding in the suspension in both the front or rear. My Duster use to go straigt as a arrow until I readjusted the ride hieght and the coil spring preload to get some more weight on the RR, it went left until I readjusted both springs to the same hieght with the weight on them that was with the 8 3/4 in the car, it now has a Dana 60 in it Take your time and see what you find BTW, my car ended up bending and tweaking the 8 3/4 rear end housing bad enough to need replacing, it now has a cut down Dana 60 truck rear end in it, ladder bars and coil overs rear suspension with a diagonal link IHTHs

I agree with Cab on the 30# on the RR, thats exactly what mine took to make it leave straight, you look close so I would try a couple of hit's and see what happens and adjust from there, just watch a few cars first and try and determine if the track is hooking straight, some times that will throw things off, also try both lanes.

Ususlly goes straight, but went seriously right while in the air, then came down HARD. That is why I scaled it trying to find out if something was seriously out of whack or bent. Car has 5 flats of preload on the Right ladder bar. Also, the car has 2 deep cycle marine batteries on the Right rear in the trunk.
Was this a one time deal or did it always go right when the front tires where in the air? If always look for the problem , if only once maybe there was some slippery or wet stuff on the track My car has no prelaod on the ladder bars, a little more tension on the left torsion bar and equal lengths now on the rear springs and cup adjustments I do run a spool and I make sure that the rear tires are within 1/8 inch of each other on the circumference , I have two deep cyles mounted like yours on the right side also Ain't racing fun

Yep.........5 flats is what it took to make it go straight.
When you scaled the car were you at 0 pre-load to get the measurements

No, 5 flats is what is is raced at...........race ready status http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ai5EnELtPWIThis link shows the 2 passes I made in time trials last November. First pass is a little over 1 minute in and the "pan wrecker" is a little over 3 minutes in.

Normally you scale a car with 0 pre-load then add in 20# or so then hit the track to see what it does then add or subtract to correct... but the weights looked close...if you add alot of pre-load it can up-set the car on decell on the top end when you nose over

It lloks like your front bar joint is in the middle or upper hole on the, is it? if so I would try the lowest hole if you move the bars down don't forget to check and reset the pinion angle as needed I like 2 to 4 degrees difference pinion nose down between the drive shaft and the pinion angle on my Duster with ladder bars
