I'm curious what everyone thinks our roadrunner will run with this new combo?
70 rr. 3900#, 440 12.5 to 1 compression B1/brodix heads, 696 roller 850 holly double pumper M-1 intake.5000 stall 4.86 gear.super stock springs 29.5/10.5x15 slicks
hope to get it out in the next week or so and will know for sure.
With your overall gearing the best that you can run is about a 10.60 to 10.80 @ 7300 to 7500+ RPM

Doug its possible to run a 10.40 to 10.60 dependent on the conv slippage and what your dad want to spin it to but I'm sure it'll want way more carb... more like a 1050

Mike, We have a dominator going on it after we get all the linkage and mounting brackets in, and will be swapping out the gear for a 4.56 Car's been sitting too long waiting on parts and stuff, so putting the 850 on and going out to see what it will do. I think dad would be happy with a 10.99999999,

Good Luck I never was able to get any of my B-Body cars off the line with that small of a tire. But its been over 10 years since I raced a B-Body so the tires should be much better now.

Should run in the 10s, I agree with Labratt, 3900 lbs. seems a bit steep, unless your 350 lbs. , It'll run better with a 4.56 gear & a 29" tire, The 950 is a smaller carb then the 4781 850, I think the 850 will work good, but like mentioned, A 1050 Dom. should work better with those heads/cam.

Doug...3900lbs.??? I hope that's with your dad in the seat! Even then, that seems real high! My GTX,with me(235lbs.)in the seat, weighs 3735lbs. Where did you guys get it scaled...Milan? I'm skeptical about that weight!
Randy that was with me in car.I went about 250 at that time.I weighed it at Milan and 131 and both times it was within 25#.We have a 10 point M/S cage and it's all steel with all it inside still there. And as you can see in the picture we got a little air on a easy leave, about 3000rpm.
