Finally got the pics up from this years trip, hope you guys enjoy them! Again more than 10,000 cars attending, here are some of the highlights.

After taking the 10-hour ferry ride from Finland to Sweden you land in Stockholm. One of my favorite cities in the world, here's a pic from old town;

Lots of water, trees and open spaces throughout the city;

But for a car geek it is often a must to get inside, here is one of the main US car dealers in town;

Well, can't goof around all day! The meet is in Västerås, 60 miles west of Stockholm. A nice scenic drive.

One of the first cars we saw was this beautiful 1958 Fury from the Åland isles;

My girlfriends favorite during the meet was this Buick fastback (she loves late 40:s-early 50:s Buicks)

Johnny Rosen might be a familiar name to some of you...now he has landed in Europe?

Lots of vendors carrying Forward Look stuff as usual

Newer MoPar goodies

Swedish craftsmanship, not in our tastes though...we really hate the Amish wagon wheels in general...

More coming up!

I'm constantly amazed by what I find on the internet of the interest in U.S. muscle cars "over there." Must be an incredible challange to get parts and so on.

Part 2;

I just about hate travel trailers but love Airstreams...go figure?

Just the thought of the New Yorker towing the polished Airstream makes you smile!

These German dudes made some pretty interesting sculptures;

3100 mile Hemi Coronet!

Gassers rule!

This gorgeous 300D used to belong to resto parts guru Gary Goers for a long time;

This Duster came from Poland;

4-sp Hemi from Switzerland;

Halfway there!

Part 3;

The friendly people at Autotek had a 24 hour open house during the meet as always;

The highlight of the meet for me...although we don't like convertibles as it takes away from the design lol!

A Volvo with big wheels? Well, this one has a few surprises...

Very cool 40:s Hot Rod!

Still more coming!

Gorgeous Chevy truck, very rare to see an original resto on a truck this new here

Nostalgia Corner is a meeting place for young and old created by a guy into American cars since the 60:s. The guy is quite a character.

Always lots of cool stuff on display and for sale there

And suddenly Ola himself just had that unexplainable feeling to burn some rubber

American patriotism has no borders;

Gotta go to work, more stuff including the little MoPar meet on Saturday night coming up. Be back in 30 hours or so. Thanks for looking!

So what do they do for gas (petro). Do the gas stations have different octains like we do in the states. No lead gas? Do they put in new valve seats? What do you have to go through to run a musclecar or hotrod around the EU?

Thanks for the pics.

Is there a website for that particular car show for next time? I would love to get there and be in attendance....Are all the cars of Stockholm? I would love to drive the Charger up there but I dont think I would be brave enough to put it on a boat...

I can only speak for down in Greece...but we have standard 95 unleaded at the pump, 95 LRP (Leaded Racing Petrol) and 100 Super LRP. I run 95 on my Charger since its an upgrade from the 91 it was designed for from the states. I dunno what it takes to run around the EU, but if you find a classic car in the country you are in and the license plates are grandfathered by old laws, you can drive it every day. I however, since I brought it from L.A. this year was forced to go under Historical Plates, which means I am under restriction as to the time of day it can be driven and where I can go. I cant go downtown (nor would I want to) at 3pm on a wednesday. I CAN go to the car shows, beaches, hop around town for a quick run anytime I want as long as its between the hours of sunrise and sunset, which now....its 645am to 9pm...Cops dont really hassle you here unless you do something stupid. Later on this month I am going with my friend and his 71 Challenger to our version of Sunset Blvd and terrorize some people. Everytime we go down there in regular cars we see a Ferrari, a Porsche, a Viper, or some whacked out tuner...We wanna harass em and blow some eardrums out.

Thanks for the kind words guys, more pics coming up in a moment!

Regarding octane levels we have 95 and 98 octane unleaded but I can't remember how that translates to the US classification. I think it is pretty much the same you have at the pump?

The legislation varies quite a lot inside the EU regarding modified cars Sweden being among the most liberal.

Here is the website for the meet;

http://www.bigmeet.com/

Pyper, no need for you to put your car on a ferry anymore as they built this huge bridge from Denmark to Sweden;

http://www.worldgreatestsites.com/oresund_bridge.htm

The cars are from all of Sweden and about 20 European countries. The meet is very international. I think there was once an American dude with his own car even! Would be a pretty cool ride from Greece! There is another meet you might consider though, the biggest MoPar meet in Sweden at Orsa during the Classic Car Week in Rättvik. Lots of activities during a whole week and there are caravans of muscle Mopars coming from Stockholm and Malmö (your way). Check these out;

http://www.classiccarweek.com/ (only in swedish)

Saturday evening had the little MoPar Sweden meet as usual, mostly familiar cars from before but always some interesting new entries too.

Carsten is from Moparts, sorry we missed you dude!

The way things used to be..with a 4-sp Hemi no less!

Still some left!

Uhh, this trend is very disturbing, nice 50:s cruisers with chrome or huge gangsta wheels;

Umm,gotta get me one of them cool pistol grips...

As last year cops seem to be determined to stop the 20-year old burnout tradition that has been going on in this parking lot. A major part (although unofficial)of the meet seems to be gone forever.

1972 B-bodies are really rare here

BigBlockHead gave us the pleasure of cruising around in his 1962 Imperial Crown. Thanks again dude, we appreciated it a lot! Here some finns get a jumpstart from him;

Sunday morning,the party is over;

Some pics from Västerås center;

Driving south from Västerås we stopped in Eskilstuna to look at some old industrial buildings we both love...gotta find something like this on a smaller scale one day...

We were about to leave when we noticed this little gem of a museum. http://munktellmuseet.volvo.com/ I always wondered what the BM means on some of Volvo construction equipment...turns out it is Bolinder-Munktell. Lots of cool stuff on display in a beautiful setting.

A bit closer to Stockholm we stopped at Mariefred for some refreshments. Unfortunately no time to take a closer look at the beautiful castle.

Pretty cool 17th/18th century rooftops seen from our hotel room in Stockholm. Sea view too, Im no cheapskate, lol!

Closer to home we decided to take the scenic route, we had a great time and hope you guys enjoyed the photos! Thanks for looking!

Thanks for the compliment! Yeah, I know that convertible, here is a pic from last year;

Nope,never given any thought about the camping, been there once for about 5 minutes in the last 20 years. Too busy to look at all the cool stuff.

Wow! I can't believe all the forward look Mopars, and so many of them being converts. Now we know where they all have been hiding.
