Hey Guys,
I have this odd looking hose clamp on the PCV hose from my center six-pack carb to the valve cover.

I've never seen a clamp like this before. Was this a Mopar-issued type clamp? Or did they use those standard ring-type clamps on the PCV hoses from the carbs (or no clamps)?

Also, I don't want to break this clamp off if it's an original style -- anyone know how they are properly released?

Thanks !

It's called a Keystone clamp, they have to be cut to remove them. The installation tool looks like a large end cutter.

Thanks much John.

I need to remove this hose as I'm going to be taking off the carb ... I guess I'll just cut this clamp off and use a regular hose clamp in it's place. I learn something new in every post here.. !

I removed a clamp similar to that once by bending the clamp with a screwdriver. After reinstalling the hose, I recrimped it with cutters. Can't recall what it was on, maybe a PVC system. But it did not matter if it was a perfectly tight seal.

Ditto, stick a small screwdriver in there and give it a twist both directions...That'll loosen it up enough to get that peticular connection apart...One word of advice though...If you're going to be digging in there tuning the set-up just get a newer "corbin" clamp so you can get it off easily with a plyers... Take your hose along to the local NAPA store and they'll match the correct size for you..
