Just wondering if this has happpened to anyone else? We pulled the motor on my Duster back in March and sent it off to my Buddy's to restore it. My friend clamped off the fuel line with a pair of vice grips when we transported it. My painter called me the other day and said that the gas tank looked like a crumpled up plastic milk jug. He thinks it happened because the tank wasn't vented. Anyone heard of this happening before- I'm assuming when I buy the new tank I should get a new sending unit also????

Learned this lesson the hard way $$$$ ... We did my challenger a few years ago and it went 18 months during the restoration with no problems- Of course I'm not sure we pinched off the fuel line on that one ? Oh well LE$$ON learned !!

wow. from just normal air pressure! well, you could reverse the problem by filling what's left of the tank with gas, draining the liquid, seal up all openings but 1, and drop a match into it! ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/devil.gif)
