Go with Bob Profab...

Curious, why?

From what I have seen RMS seems better built all around. I'm not a fan of setups that use the stock shock towers to take the weight of the car.

When you use Bob's setup you support the shock tower with the forward bars off your cage going to the front frame rail when you want the added support.

From what I remember AlterKation used a pinto type setup that does not require the stock shock tower. Have heard many good reviews from people using the AlterKation. But, you must realize it is not Apples and Oranges. AlterKation works well but is mild steel square tubing with much cheaper front shocks and small parts. Great if that is all you need. Bob's is a more drag race specific peice as it uses lighter stronger chrome moly tubing and heim joints. It is all tig welded much slower process. The shocks he offers are AFCO which is a top rated shock. If I were on a budget and did not need all the frills I would use an AlterKation. But, for what I race or would usually be dealing with BOBSPROFAB is the level I would want to use.

We've had good success with the CAP'S also. I think the double cross tubes give more support to the front frame rails, and I don't care for the look of the square cross tube styles. CAP'S also seem to retain a tighter turning radius than some others.

Bobs, is more of a race car set up
Alterkation, is square tubing, which
I believe is heavier, for a racer, but if
Ur gonna see some street time, well
then Alterkation is the way to go
I've never had no issues with my Alterkation
Set up. I went for the extra money
With a good set of strut also, I think there
The QA1'$ 10 way adjustables.
I have used Bob nda pass for other things
And he was a honest person too work with

Cool, thanks guys. So Bob's seems more race car oriented, and less "bolt in", especially if it is suggested to tie the towers to the front bars. Just looking at it, I would suspect it is a little bit lighter too.

I don't think Bob's has a provision for motor mounts either, so you have to use a motor plate. As stated, Bob's in a race setup. I have an Alterkation on my car and I really like it. I kind of like having the larger square cross tube on the Alterkation, as I use that as a jacking point.
