440 .040 over 12:1 compression mopar .590 cam installed at 102 centerline.
The carb is a 1000cfm 4150 holley. I set the floats at idle seems ok probaly rich there to. I have 6psi fuel pressure on the gauge on fuel log.
Jetted down all the way to 132 smallest alohol jets i have still rich.
Its so rich it ran best when i completly removed front acelorater pump cam.
Going to hook up the vacum gage tommorow and check the power valves to make sure there not blown plus i dont remeber what I put in when i rebuilt it.

Anyone want to take a quess and help me out as to what else to check.

also I went from .45 nozzles to .25 trying to choke down the fuel amount.
I dont think the problem is their.
When running and i crack the throttle up at the carb there is a metric F ton fuel coming in before they even start squirting

I am no alky Xpert ... but pig-rich with a Berry Crab ? ....PERISH that thought !

Are you sure you put the jets in that crab ? ... it would take A LOT of over-jetting to do what you suggest ...seriously ....

I put power valve plugs in and ckecked and cleaned the air bleeds put the acelorater cam back on problem solved.

I would say throw the power valves away..You could have bad needle and seats or a bad oring on the needle,cracked float taking on fuel after it runs for a bit.I think that carb is probably a little big for that engine combo. For some kind of reference I run 168 jets in my APD 950 on a .030 440 13.5;1 with a .635 lift cam.
