I'm a busy guy, so my time at the tracks are limited some of the seasons. My car is a true street brute and driven all over the New York City streets. I would love to run 10.0hs and still keep its presumed civility intact. 10.0hs is about all I want because any faster is a lot of time and maintenance and things get delicate. That's why my belief of a lite is might vehicle is some times a better and realistic approach.
Go turbo, like I plan on doing this summer, if $$$ stays in my pocket, and not somewhere else

I'll be happy if mine just runs at all.
And I can't wait to see it run Dennis!
My project is likely to be faster than I plan on driving it, IF I ever get it done. The cage is built to a SFI 25.3 spec (6.50 at 3600# Max.) for the most part, but I left out the funny car cage so I can still use it as a "street" car, so it will only cert. to 8.50 as is. I have been 8.50's in both a door car and a dragster, and feel that is plenty fast for me. I dream of being able to drive to the track, run the 8.90 SuperComp class, and drive home with little more than a tire change in between.
If the Drag Week event is still going when the car is completed, that would be "THE" event I would love to participate in.
