Not being a smart a$$ but ask the Calverts what's the best way to do it....me I just bit the bullet and bought the whole package. Cal tracs, springs, shocks.

My best 60' is a 1.45 thru tailpipes on drag radials at 3800lbs

Exactly. All of the research has been done. There are better places to save 400 bucks IMO.

When I did this it was Jason at Calverts that told how to do it.

Update -

I spoke with Calvert today. They told me yes you can run the SS springs , just clamp the hell out of them and they will work .

If any of you guys with good 3800lb SS springs who are going to use Caltracs want to swap for some good 002/003s, send me a PM. My 002/003s (aka 3000lb SS) have 2 passes on them; they've been sitting in the shop since. Nothing wrong with them, it was a test and the car just wanted different springs. Need a pair of 3800lb SS springs for another project.
