I've been pulled off the track a time or two but I drive it to the lanes and start it up every time to move it. I'm too lazy to push it.

Never understood towing to the lanes.. If you have any cooling system at all, what's the point..
I always shake my head in disbelief when I see S/C dragsters being towed to the lanes.. While running.. Okay...
What's up with that..
All I do know is it makes a complete mess of the lanes..
Chris..
most likely they are using alcohol and running trying to get them warmed up
Then why tow????
Chris..

I don't think it is even legal to tow in SC or SG?? But I doubt it is enforced, I would do it if I had to.
Here is a reason you SLow guys have obviously never thought of. When you race a car with a very large hood scoop like mine there is limited visibility. Incredibly easy to hit something or someone. So towing for me was a safety issue as well. In fact even when driving up for first round I would follow my golf cart to clear the path. My hoodscoop was almost even with my roof.

I pushing cars is a much better way to go. More control for the guy in the car that way.
Like I said I am not anywhere near fast enough to be towed. Seeing slow cars pulled ot the lanes juts looks ridiculous frankly. But that is just me. We will occasionally tow it back to the pits when working on the tune up, plug check etc. I do use a Yamaha gas golf cart to cruise the pits.
