That is because they always look wrong when painted on.. Too much gloss, width and placement of the stipe, etc.. Buy the tape kit and install it.. There is also a angle or tilt to the stripe...

The man didnt ask for your opinion. He wanted measurements. I agree that the painted on stripes dont look right, but you cant live his life for him. If he wants paint, thats his decision.

True, but wouldn't life be easier if he buys the stripe kit and use it as a template to mask of for paint?
