Look on Passon's site, I think it listed the weight there. Tim

It sure feels like more when you are trying to bench press them into place!

Or it won't align with the pilot bushing and clutch disk.

I had an aluminum cased late 70's OD 4sp shipped once and I think it came it at just under 100lbs.

I'm certain they're much heavier now days than they were in the 70's. I could change them out by myself back then without a jack and I can't anymore. I've not changed at all so it has to be the transmission.

As cast iron ages, it hardens. As airborne iron particles are magnetically attracted, the transmission will increase in weight. This is why its harder to lift them. I would not lie about such things.

I knew there was a scientific explanation! Thanks. Now if I could figure out why my 32 inch waist pants don't fit anymore........

Its a marketing ploy by the textile industry. "Claim" that the pants are a 32 waist but actually measure 30 1/2. The oil companies have been selling us gas by the gallon that actually spec's out to 15/16 of a gallon. You really have to be a smart and informed consumer today.
