I,m going to be ordering new rear leaf springs from ESPO Spring and Things shortly. I'm having a hard time on deciding on to order stock replacement spirngs or ones with a 1 lift. My springs on my 73 duster 340 are the original ones, the front rubber bushings are bad. And the leafs themselves are looking pretty flat. So it is hard to imagine what the height would be good.
I'm afraid with a 1" lift the rear will sit to high. I don't want the rear really sitting high like I have air shocks maxed out.But wonder if the stock springs will make the car sit no higher than it does now.
Any thoughts, pictures or advantages of one over the another?
I might ad that I'm running 15" 60 series tires on the rear and 14" 70 series tires on the front. When I bought the tires I made sure the tire diameters where almost the same. They only vary by.5 inch.

thanks,

When I bought a set for my 71 Road Runner, I got the stock ones and they sit very high. I know a lot of guys go for the 1" higher ones. You should probably see what the A-body guys are doing.

My buddies 70 Super Bee has the same springs and his car sits too high in the back too...

Another vote for stock, I got +1 and it sat too high.

I bought stock height and ended up ordering 2" over stock springs. The stock were ok and then settled to look like it was sagging over a few months. My 2" over springs settled down nicely without that high rear end look.

I have the ESPO Hemi style springs that are 1" over stock. The springs have settled in nicely and I think the ride height is just right.

Go with the 1" over ESPO springs and you'll be happy.

I used them on both my Dusters and they give the perfect stance.

They will settle some after awhile too. Sorry no pics till I get home-out of town.

I also did the +1 inch springs from espo on my dart.

Seemed maybe a little high at first but they have settled a little. I think its just right now.

When I ordered these from Detroit Spring, I knew I would not be running the 70's on the back, but 60's. I ordered 1 inch over and I think it gives it a nice rake. These are also the 7 on one side six on the other HEMI springs. I'm not convinced that a Dart should get the 1 inch. You have low fenders to begin with.

Here's my Dart. This is with an Alterkation and 17's, so it will sit a little different. I tried to keep it even accoss the body.

I just ordered espo +2 for my son's Duster, they should be here today actually, decided to go with +2's - if it's to high you can always block the rear a little, you can't go the other way if it's too low.

here are espo +1" on jamies dart. it looks good with the 14" wheels on it. i put my 17" wheels on the car and i think it would have looked better with stock height springs on it.. it really depends what wheels and the look your going for..

It's better to keep your mouth shut and give the impression that you're stupid than to open it and remove all doubt.
