Rebuilding the 727 in the truck and wanted to get some opinions on these Red Eagle clutches.

Do you guys use them, would your use anything else.

Any other things I should look into when rebuilding to get the most out of this trans.

Has an ATI stall and reverse valve body... been in the truck along time. I've been told during previous rebuilds that the clutches and bands look good.

This past season my 60's have really fallen off so I'm thinking things may be slipping... Have not observed tire spin...

the alto red eagle clutches are what most people are using in their race/hp transmissions.

We have used Alto Reds in the past with good luck. Last years 727 we used Raybestos Stage 1 clutches and they worked great also.

I found some mixed results depending on application. I found that if they are smooth, they have a tendancy to skid. I have not seen and Alto Reds for mopar direct clutch application that are grooved. But then again, may not be up on the latest available stuff.
