i know T&D and jesel are the best and thats whats going to be recommened here but lets start by saying... it aint gonna happen. the high end stuff is way out of the budget. im talking more in the lines of howards, herbert, comp etc.. which ones/who's brand oils through the pushrods? im ethier going to do iron rockers from RAS or comp magnums in which i need BALL BALL pushrods.
so which roller lifters do you recommend for a budget 440
herbert,howards,lunati,etc...

Herberts. RAS on the rockers, shafts, hold downs. Manton oil fed adjusters.

Which Comp roller lifters? They have several choices with different features and price, so not all have all features. Direct oiled axles, offset pushrod seat, pushrod oiling, tall lifter body, etc.

For the original poster, what valve spring pressures (seat and open), lobe/valve lift, and rpm will you be running?

Comp still hasn't started using our lifters so they're still available.
Low skirt, pushrod oiling, bearings oiled, and straight or .180 offset. Oil hole is moved as well to be out of the galley so it doesn't pump oil.

I was thinking of the 892's. Then he has the option of the .210 offset.

I would also recommend the lifters right above this post

If they had the .210 offset i would had ordered those a year ago.

IMM engines. I helped design these lifters with the manufacturer. Comp grinds cams...that's really it. Yes they do R&D, but most of the products they sell are made for them private label.
And EVERY other cam company does the same thing.

Comp now uses our sb design lifters, but so far they have not given a part # to the BB lifters so I'm free to sell them.

Brian what did you design on that lifter? I have talked the the same guy you get them from and they are his design. Its a comp AMC lifter. All the lifter you sell are made by the company Comp has contracted to manufacture them. If you use the lifter in your picture without bushing the block it with have oil pressure problems. If the block is bushed correctly you do not need the oil hole parallel with the axle. Just use the correct Comp Brand lifter and you will be fine. Brian its great to help people but to take credit for someone elses work, come on.

Morel makes Lunati lifters, Bullet lifters and many others. Morel has recently released a lower priced lifter, so don't automatically think you are getting an $800 lifter for cheap. Lifters is an area where you definitely get what you pay for.
