I saw a set at a mopar show in Connecticut once. I think it was one of the Papa Dodge events.
Never saw another set. Bummer.

I believe some of the G body GM's had aluminum drums besides the GN. Still not a Dana rear.

I have aluminum drums on my Challenger, I don't know what they are from tho.
Looks like original to me, but very light.
I can take a picture if you would like.

The way some one can install the GM G body Alloy drums is if they maybe have Dr. Diff weld GM axle ends on their custom built rear (Dana or 8-3/4)and install the GM backing plates, GM style brakes and hardware and have GM axles with GM pattern wheel studs installed and then you can run the much lighter Aluminum drums. It would not be that expensive being that axles ends have to be installed anyway but instead of Mopar ends it would be GM's.

i was thinking maybe i could put aluminum drums on the dana instead of the disc set up since the drum brakes work good with the wilwoods up front and may be easier on the wallet.

I would think it'd be easier to drill the GM drums between their 4.75 bolt circle holes to the 4.5 bolt circle. The next issue would be getting the shoes to work with the hardware & backing plates, though.

There has never been any made from the factory itself. The ones I saw at the Papa Dodge swap years ago must have been custom units either home made or factory (BACKDOOR SKUNK WORK) jammies that never made it to production on the regular assembly lines.
I would run a pair or all four in a heart beat.
Lite makes might.
