I want to add a windage tray to my 440 which is now being rebuilt, but I am concerned that the stock oil pan bolts will not be long enough to really secure the added depth of the 2nd gasket and windage tray. Are there slightly longer bolts available that don't come from the corner hardware store?

You'll be fine with what you have.

I run a stock windage tray/oil pan with 2 cork gaskets

stock bolts are fine, just dont crush/squeeze the gaskets out by over torqueing

I run a thin coat of copper rtv on both my gaskets and let cure over night before running engine

you can go to oil pan studs if you dont like the stock bolts, very nice when its on the engine stand and fliped upside down for the pan install

make sure to check oil pick up tube and bottom of the pan for correct placement

I had to tweak my pick up tube just slightly to clear the tray in one spot

double check before it goes in the car/truck

The MIlodon has better drain back features (cutouts). I just drilled a couple of holes in the Factory piece since I already had it. I also used Permatex High Tack on the cork gaskets. No leaks in 9+ years.

+50 on the Milodon. Unless your corner hardware store sucks their bolts should be fine for an oil pan. It isn't like they are rod bolts.
