I purchased this kit BECAUSE there was a massive amount of missing parts on my roadruner project (took over the project from someone else). http://www.jegs.com/i/JEGS+Performance+Products/555/630220/10002/-1Everything has been installed perfectly. It is perfect. That is...until I got to the wonky power brake pedal / booster setup. Has anyone dealt with this kit? Originally my 1970 came with power drums. The booster supplied with this kit, the bolt pattern to it, is off. Also, since I have a 4 speed, there is tons of OEM bracketry and so forth on the inside which would all have to be gutted out to fit in this aftermarket business. What the crap is going on? I even called Jegs and they were less than helpful but showed that I have the correct parts. I am pretty upset. Has anyone messed with this kit?

What specifically is the problem? All you need to do on the inside is connect the brake booster push rod to the brake pedal. Why would anything else need to be changed? Let's see some pics! Maybe then someone can help you... Good luck!

The new, adjustable linkage bolts directly to the pedal, so you must discard the old bell crank under the dash.
I think the (original power brake) firewall stiffening plate must also be modified.

maybe this is apples and oranges, but I bought a power booster, brackets, pedal pushrod, and m/c for my 68 charger. They are leftovers from a stainless steel brakes corp disc kit. The guy who sold it to me used the rotors, calipers, etc for his 69 charger but said he couldn't use the booster, master, brackets because his car was originally a power brake car and the kit was meant to convert manual brake cars to power as well as disc. His was a project in pieces too and he said he ended up locating and rebuilding a factory booster.
the booster and bracket in your kit look exactly like the ones I bought from him. Maybe that's your issue.

Ok, so here's what I have going on. Here is my firewall: Here is my pedal assembly: Here is my booster, do the brakets point up or down when installed? Here is my support plate: So, as you can see my contraption of brackets in there now. To get THIS setup in there, I'd have to cut and hack quite a bit out of there to even wedge this kit up in there (which JEGS says I have the correct parts for my 1970 RR with 4speed and power drums). Also - in the firewall support bracket AND firewall, which two holes do I orientate with? SO yeah - I need to know if those brakets point up or down or how this puzzle fits together. Sorry, I feel like I am starting to be a pest....

The booster bracket bolts to the firewall under the hood, and the rod passes through the firewall and connects to the brake pedal, just like a manual brake set-up.
You may have to elongate the center hole in the original firewall stiffening plate, which goes between the booster bracket and firewall (ribs facing inward).
I made a new stiffening plate for mine. I didn't want to cut the original plate.
