thick wrap of aluminum foil should help. Not a permanant fix, but should hold you over.
Put some like wall insulation around it first, then wrap it in aluminum foil.

This guy sells quality heat shield products at a decent price. I've got it all over my engine compartment on fluid lines and sparkplug boots. Some of the sparkplug boots are squished between the header pipe and inner fender - no burn through.

I used this on the fluid lines. You can tuck the ends under like spark plug boots or buy some of his high temp heat shrink tubing. -

I quick fix might be to take some rubber hose (fuel line, heater hose) and split-cut it along it's length and tie wrap it around your fuel line.

Just go to Ace and buy their gray insulating "foam wrap". It is pre-sliced so you can just cut it to the proper length and easily install on your hard lines. Works great for insulation !

PS - it also has the added benefit of "infuriating" the purists - so ? Function over form, right ?

I used some of the pipe insulation foam that is basically a split foam tube that you use to wrap the pipes under your house to keep them from freezing. I used the smallest ID I could find, and then wrapped that with some of that metal duct tape - not the cloth stuff, the real METAL tape that you use on AC ducts. That stuff made all the difference - the foam would shrink and blister without the tape, and that fuel line is about 6-8" from the headers.
