Rookie Mopar Gut here again. It doesn't look like the belts and pulleys are correct on the 72 Satellite I just bought. The alt. belt goes to crank pulley only, therefore extremely close to waterpump. The powersteering belts goes around ps pump, water pump and crank pulley. The water pump pulley only has 1 groove. Should it have 2 so that the alt. belt goes around it?

Every small block I've ever owned, has had the belt on the alt/water pump/ crank pulley. Then the PS around the crank pulley. I'ts evan that way on the A/C cars exept the alt. has two grooves and two belts and now they add the A/C compressor to that alt./H2O pump/crank configuration.

On the other hand if it works leave well enough alone.

Thanks for the pic!! Great help. My ps pulley lines up with front groove on crank pulley and water pump pulley. The front groove lines up with these pulleys as well. It looks like my alt. is too far back.
