mikemotorhead OP super street M Joined: Jan 2003 Posts: 732	I have a 67 Barracuda Formula S 273 4 speed . It is a A-883 23 spline transmission. The car has 113,000 original miles on it and it needs a clutch. Can anyone give me some info on what to order for my mechanic to do the job? I just want a stock type easy to use in traffic clutch since my wife drives it most of the time. Thanks Mike

6T6Cuda top fuel 6 Joined: Jul 2003 Posts: 2,344 Cincinnati, OH	What size clutch is it. if it is orig it will be a 9 1/2 clutch disk which is hard to find a good one... If someone has "upgraded" it it should be a 10.5" which there are all kinds of options. Any easy way to tell is if the bellhousing is cast iron (not aluminum) there is a "good" chance it is a 9.5"

Thanks Mike I have a local drive line shop build me 10" clutches that will bolt up on the small 9.5" wheel. More surface area on the disc. If you car is pure stock, you should have no problem getting a solid answer from Brewers. If your bellhousing is different, you will need to get the numbers off of it. The early bird gets the worm, and the second mouse always gets the cheese.
