Inline tube company states that the proportioning valve for 68 plymouth is for drum or disk! Is this true??? My 68 Formula S has front drum and i have a complete disk brake setup from a early 70's a-body. Can i use the same valve???

yes , they did errr , in 1968 that is a distribution block and its the same part drum OR disc , the proportioning valve is a separate block that is in the line going to the rear brakes .

what year is the disc setup you are switching over to ?

I ordered part number PVM70 from Priate Jacks. It was $79 or 89 for my 70 power drum to manual disc.

This is where i found it near bottom of the page. I am using complete frt end from 72-74 a-body, k-member(w/spool mounts cuz i keep rippn those damn sandwich type) and lower control arm, upper control arm, spindle and brake assy. Drum brakes really suk under a 446!

72 didn't have spool mounts and used the 4 piston calipers , 73 switched to spool mounts and used single piston and .

either setup would use block 250 .
