My engine has been cutting out, may be choke related, the wire fell off.........any help is good........also the coil i had was not labeled pos or neg i tested it when i hooked it up....where does the brown wire go? its in a 73 challenger....Mike

A '73 has two field wires, be sure to use the blue one not the green one; the double blue wire on the ballast is the same circuit.

Use the blue wire coming off the ballast resistor. It should have hot power when the ignition switch is in the start and run position.

He should not have to do anything the factory choke wire should be there.

True, provided it has not been cut off or removed.
The brown wire is the positive (+) power for the coil.

thanks guys i think the problem may be a broken valve spring after all...the choke wiring issues...the blue wire has been cut/played with by someone the little plastic bo where the wires stem from is a mess...needless to say i think its time to pull the motor and give it a new paint job anyway...
